Son City Chapter History
The Son City Chapter was the 36th chapter to be chartered by the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA). That was in 1981. Today CMA has over 800 chapters throughout the United States and the world. New chapters are being formed each month.
Son City Chapter has been in El Paso for over 26 years. The leadership and membership has changed over the years, like any other organization serving our Lord Jesus Christ, but Son City Chapter has remained strong throughout the years. This was only possible by God's blessing, and we could not have done this on our own. We still have a few of the early members riding and serving with us today.

CMA Ministry
CMA's primary purpose is ministry. There are many aspects to ministry, and God has given each one of us specific talents that can be used to glorify Him. In order to guide a new member through his ministry, CMA requires completion of a Ministry Team Training Program. Once the program has been completed, the member can purchase and wear the official CMA Logo. Completing a Ministry Team Program is not required for CMA membership, but it is required to wear the colors and be a local chapter officer.
The Ministry Team Training program consists of viewing a series of presentations contained on 6 DVDs or VHS tapes and completing the workbook. Answers to the questions in the workbook come directly from the presentations. The presentations are given by the CMA membership, and represent the knowledge CMA has gained by ministering to the motorcycle community for over 30 years. The information presented in these tapes is a tremendous asset to aid you in your ministry. Many members view their tapes annually, just to refresh themselves.
Ministry Team Training Programs are available for: Prayer, Servants', Mechanical, Women's, Youth, First Aid, Prison, Hospitality, Music, Children's, and Youth Movement.

Fellowship
Besides ministering and serving the motorcycle community, we understand ministering and serving ourselves is equally important. To remain effective workers in the Lord's service we must enjoy the company and fel
lowship of our own members. We accomplish this through many group activities such as: dinners, pot-lucks, group rides, out of town trips. etc. If you feel God calling you into this ministry, we would be honored to welcome you as new members. For more information, feel free to contact one of our officers.
